Winery Update

The vines may be enjoying their dormancy outside the walls of our family winery, but we are certainly keeping busy here at Dry Creek Vineyard! Our winemaking team is putting the finishing touches on our 2016 whites and preparing our 2015 single vineyard Zinfandels for bottling.

The weather may be chilly outside, but our tasting room is warm and welcoming in the cold winter months. In addition to our regular tasting hours, we offer private tours and tastings, as well as a Meritage blending experience where you can be a winemaker for a day! If your travel brings you to the Dry Creek Valley, please contact Darren Abel or Amanda Barber at Concierge@drycreekvineyard or 800-864-9463 x104 to see how we can make your visit a little more special.

For more winery news and behind-the-scenes action, make sure that you are following us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We are posting videos, giving updates and telling stories about the people that make Dry Creek Vineyard the ‘real deal’.

We love to see what you are up to as well! Tag us in your photos or use our hashtags: #drycreekvineyard or #teamdrycreek to share your favorite moments with Dry Creek Vineyard wines.

San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

The results are in and we couldn’t be happier with two Double Gold medals from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition! About 7,000 entries were received from 28 states across the country for the largest competition of American wines in the world.

Utilizing an extensive process that divided the varietals into several categories and subcategories, the judges were able to rate entries as Bronze, Silver, Gold or Double Gold. Double Gold medals are only awarded when all five members of a judging panel unanimously award a wine with a Gold medal.

DOUBLE GOLD – 2016 Sauvignon Blanc
DOUBLE GOLD – 2015 DCV Estate Block 10 Chardonnay
GOLD – 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon
SILVER – 2015 Fumé Blanc
SILVER – 2014 Old Vine Zinfandel
