Bold Dreams: The Dry Creek Vineyard Story

At Dry Creek Vineyard, our journey began with a bold dream and the pioneering spirit of Founder David Stare, who built the first winery in Dry Creek Valley after Prohibition and planted the region’s first Sauvignon Blanc. This exclusive experience invites you to explore the vineyards where our story began and taste the wines that embody our family’s passion, grit and commitment. Weather permitting, this experience includes a tour of our estate vineyards via utility-terrain vehicle.

Private Seated Tasting

Available Thursday through Monday • $30 per guest

Immerse yourself in the Dry Creek Vineyard story with a private seated tasting featuring a curated flight of limited-production white and red wines, exclusively available at our winery. Each wine embodies our “no compromises” philosophy of winemaking, offering a perfect introduction to the passion and craftsmanship behind every bottle.

White Wine Flight

Celebrate Dry Creek Vineyard’s legacy as the first to plant Sauvignon Blanc — now the region’s signature white variety — in Dry Creek Valley. This flight also highlights our renowned Dry Chenin Blanc and Petite Zin Rosé, offering a refreshing exploration of the varietals that define our pioneering spirit and commitment to crafting exceptional white wines.

Zinfandels of Dry Creek Valley

Available Thursday through Monday • $50 per guest

Explore the signature red variety of Dry Creek Valley with a tasting of five limited-production Zinfandels, featuring single-vineyard and blended expressions. From the appellation’s historic “old vines” to our own efforts in preserving the heritage of Zinfandel, this experience showcases how unique vineyard sites shape the distinct character of each wine.

Bordeaux Varietals Tasting

Available Thursday through Monday • $50 per guest

Explore the Bordeaux varietals of Dry Creek Valley with a tasting of five limited-production, single-vineyard wines and Meritage blends. This flight highlights the artistry of Bordeaux blending, balancing complexity and elegance, while showcasing Dry Creek Valley’s ability to produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style wines that rival the best in California.

Wine Flight & Picnic Lunch

Available Thursday through Monday • Apr–Oct • $65 per guest

Savor a private wine tasting and a gourmet picnic lunch on our picturesque winery grounds, surrounded by the natural beauty of Dry Creek Valley. With fresh, seasonal menu selections and a curated flight of our limited-production wines, this experience offers the perfect blend of relaxation and indulgence in the heart of wine country.

Bocce Experience

Available daily • Apr–Sep

Gather your family and friends for a fun-filled day of bocce in the heart of Dry Creek Valley! Enjoy friendly competition on our scenic court, complete with tables for relaxing and sipping on our estate wines. Bring a picnic or order an artisan charcuterie plate for the perfect wine country afternoon.

Friday-Sunday: $100 total for up to 8 guests ($75 club).

Monday-Thursday: $75 total for up to 8 guests ($50 club).

$25 for each additional guest up to a maximum of 12 guests.

Charcuterie Add-On

Available Thursday through Monday • Serves 2 • $30 per plate

Savor artisanal delights from local, family-owned producers, such as handcrafted salumi from Journeyman Meat Co., and exquisite cheeses from Point Reyes Farmstead and Marin French Cheese Co., along with seasonal accompaniments that celebrate the flavors of our region.

Off-Road Vineyard Tour

Climb aboard our winery UTV for an unforgettable off-road adventure through the estate vineyards. Explore the rich biodiversity of our historic property as you learn about our sustainable farming practices and the Dry Creek Habitat Restoration Project. Along the way, take in stunning vineyard views and enjoy a tasting of wines sourced from the very vines you’re exploring — immersing yourself in the heart of our land and its stories.
