DRY CREEK VINEYARD INTRODUCES GROUNDBREAKING

ONLINE CUSTOMER REVIEW TECHNOLOGY

Healdsburg, CA – Looking to embrace customer feedback and product reviews on its web site and online store, Dry Creek Vineyard announced today the implementation of online customer review technology.  Used by Fortune 500 companies from Amazon.com to TripAdvisor.com, customer testimonials and product reviews have increasingly become an influential force in how consumers make purchase decisions.

“This is cutting edge stuff for wineries,” says second generation Click to viewowner and Vice President, Kim Stare Wallace.  “Most of our brethren wait around for the latest, greatest review in order to sell their wine.  With customer testimonials, it’s the real deal.  We’re posting first hand experiences with our wines.  We might be extending our necks a bit for some potential criticism, but we’re willing to take that risk.  We’re confident that our wines will win out.”

Lynda Abbott, Information Technology (IT) Director for Dry Creek Vineyard says this form of communication is next generation thinking for wineries.  “I am confident that personal reviews will help our customers make more informed purchase decisions about our wines. In my estimation, wineries have been very much behind the curve when it comes to utilizing Internet technology.  Implementing online review functionality is just the beginning.”

Founded in 1972 by David S. Stare, Dry Creek Vineyard is located in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, just outside of the bucolic town of Healdsburg.  The winery is known for producing some of California’s finest Fumé Blancs and Zinfandels.  In addition to these “flagships,” Dry Creek Vineyard is also known for excellent Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.  Beginning with the 2004 vintage, the family introduced a new proprietary blend called The Mariner, which has redefined the winery’s Meritage concept.  Dry Creek Vineyard owns over 200 acres of vineyard land, primarily in Dry Creek Valley and the Russian River Valley.
