Actress
Charlize Theron and her mother, Gerda, were guests of Dry Creek
Vineyard recently.
Ms. Theron, on a break from filming "Sweet
November" in San Francisco, had expressed her enthusiasm for
Dry Creek Vineyard's wines and the winery was pleased to invite
her as their guest for a weekend.
Ms. Theron, her mother
and the actress's dogs were then hosted for dinner at the home of
Kim and
Don
Wallace and their two children. Kim is the daughter of the winery's
founder,
David Stare, and the couple
manages the daily operations of Dry Creek Vineyard.
Ms. Theron, who has appeared in such films as "The Cider
House Rules", "Mighty Joe Young", "The Astronaut's
Wife", and "The Devil's Advocate", enjoyed a private
tour, a special barrel tasting and a visit to the winery's vast
vineyards overlooking the beautiful Dry Creek Valley.
