When founder David Stare built Dry
Creek Vineyard, he did so with a passion for
the wines of the Loire Valley. Almost 40 years later, we
continue to uphold those traditions.
The day will be filled with wine, French cuisine, art, and the French
inspired
Jazz music of
Duo Gadjo.
Click to play their version of:
La Vie en Rose. Games and
prizes with a French spin - pétanque anyone?
- will round out a can't miss day. We look
forward to seeing you!
Dry Creek Vineyard
Participates in Passport to Dry Creek Valley
Two Days: April 25-26, 2009
11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Come on
all you Parrotheads - the
“winery for sailors” invites
you to a Jimmy Buffett
hideaway. Spring in the Dry
Creek Valley means
ocean
breezes in our cellar. Sway
to the motion of the ocean,
sip Fumé Blanc on a white
sand beach and nibble jerk
chicken with Zinfandel. Over 35 years of Family
Winemaking - and still
having fun! Featuring
Garratt Wilkin & The
Parrotheads - A Tribute to
Jimmy Buffett's Music.
Passport to Dry Creek Valley is
an annual event showcasing the
wineries, vineyards and exceptional
beauty of Dry Creek Valley. There
are over 62 wineries and 150 growers
in the Dry Creek Valley, producing a
variety of wines to please any
palate. Wineries up and down Dry
Creek Valley celebrate the magic of
their valley with wine, food,
entertainment and the hospitality
for which Dry Creek Valley is
famous.
Many of the wineries create a theme
around which they showcase their
wine. You are certain to be carried away
by the festive atmosphere that each
winery creates.
Unlike other large tasting events
Passport tickets are limited and
therefore offer a more intimate
experience. It allows participants a
chance to speak to and connect with
the winemakers and vineyard owners
on a personal level, and learn more
about the history and culture of Dry
Creek Valley and its wines. Because
the number of participants is
limited, Passports are sold through
a process of random selection.
Passport to Dry Creek Valley is held
the last full weekend of April each
year, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00
am to 4:30 pm.
Dry Creek Vineyard
Participates in 31st Barrel Tasting
Two Weekends: March 7-8 and 14-15, 2009
11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Dry Creek Vineyard and the other
participating members of the
Russian River Wine Road
would like to welcome you to our
wineries and lodgings for an
exciting weekend of wine tasting.
This is your chance to sample wines
from the barrel, talk to
winemakers and explore the beautiful
Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian
River Valleys.
Barrel Tasting is not a food
or themed event. It's all
about the WINE.
The goal of Barrel Tasting is to
introduce people to wines still in
the barrel, help guests learn about
wine and better understand what
they're tasting. This
is a chance to purchase wine now,
often at a discount, then come back
to the winery when the wine is
bottled, typically 12-18 months from
now.
To taste at any of the participating
wineries those weekends, you
will need to purchase the Barrel
Tasting wristband and glass.
You can purchase your entry on the
Friday of each weekend and enjoy
three full days of Barrel Tasting by
wearing your wristband. Online tickets will
be sold January 23 through March 1
for $20 per person.
At the door, the price will be $30 per
person.
Valentine’s Day is an occasion to rejoice in sensory

pleasures await you, prepared by Chef Tim Vallery. The temptations continue with an
enticing array of aphrodisiac inspired selections
including oysters, lobster, filet mignon, porcini
mushrooms with caviar crème fraîche, Grand Marnier crème
brûlée and finally Scharffen Berger chocolate truffles.
All the
while imbibing succulent Sauvignon Blanc, seductive
Zinfandel, and velvety Cabernet Sauvignon. Visually
scintillating, aromatically pleasing, a night to
rekindle the flame or stoke a hot romance! The evening
