Join us this Valentine’s Day for some extra special treatment for your “special” someone.

On Thursday, February 14, we will feature our “Something Red” tasting - a delicious lineup of red wines, including our award-winning Zinfandels and Cabernet Sauvignons.  We’ll have a long stem rose for your sweetie as well as a delectable pairing of chocolate truffles with our wines.  We will also have our digital camera on hand to record the memory – if you would like, we would be glad to take your picture and email it to you.  Please just ask one of our tasting room associates.

We hope to see you in romantic wine country this Valentine’s Day!

Proprietor Kim Stare Wallace has (finally) taken the plunge into the new millennium this week by launching a winery blog.

Her goal is to share her life as a female vintner (in the ever shrinking world of family-owned wineries), while also trying to balance being a wife, mother, and daughter. You can visit her new blog at www.wilmaswineworld.com or by going to our web site and clicking on winery blog.

We encourage you to join the conversation and post your comments to Kim’s blog.  We’re not sure where this is headed, but knowing Kim, it won’t be boring!

It’s finally here!  On February 1, 2008, the much anticipated 2006 Heritage Zinfandel made its debut in our tasting room.

Full of juicy blackberry fruit, this delicious wine has become one of our best sellers.  The grapes for this wine are sourced primarily from our Dry Creek and Russian River Valley vineyards.  This wine is an excellent combination of warm climate grapes (Dry Creek) and cooler climate grapes (Russian River).   The wonderful melding of flavors deliver excellent balance and juicy characters that express our Heritage Zinfandel’s unique personality.

Join us in our tasting room 7 days a week to sample this awesome new vintage!  To learn more or to order from us online, please visit our web site and online store.

February is an action-packed month at Dry Creek Vineyard.  While the vineyards are taking their winter nap, the cellar crew is running like crazy, putting together our 2007 Chenin Blanc and 2007 Fumé Blanc blends, and getting them ready for bottling.

Our 2007 Zinfandels are already made and back in barrels, and are proving to be fabulous wines.  Next up for our winemakers are the 2007 Mariner, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot blends.  These wines require many days of selecting varietals, vineyard lots and barrels, and tasting lab blends to decide on the ideal combination for each wine.  We’re very pleased with the 2007 vintage, the latest in a string of terrific vintages at Dry Creek Vineyard.

  Each Vineyard is Hand Pruned

We’ll check back in a month or two and let you know how things are progressing.
