Bud break has happened! With several
weeks of warm weather, the once dormant vines
have awoken from their winter slumber. Vineyard
managers and their crews are busy cultivating
the soil and making sure that their frost
protection systems are in good working order.
One of the most tenuous times to be a vineyard
manager is during bud break because of the
possibility for frost. A vineyard left
unprotected from a hard freeze can completely
ruin an entire vintage, so everyone is on his or
her toes, including this duck on our Endeavour
Vineyard pond!

Since 1990, Passport Weekend has grown into the valley’s premier event with
42 wineries participating this year.
Wineries up and down Dry Creek Valley celebrate the
magic of our valley with wine, food, entertainment
and the hospitality for which the valley is
famous. Many of the wineries create a theme around
which they showcase their wines.
At Dry Creek Vineyard, we’ve
brought the '70s back and it’s going to be Shagger-ific baby! In honor of
our 35th anniversary, we’re bringing back
shag carpeting, mood lamps, and tie dye. Our cellar
will be super groovy with delectable nibbles. We’ll also have a "chill out"
zone for our guests to relax and enjoy the sounds of
the '70s played by a local DJ.
