Dry Creek Vineyard’s estate Chef Kevin McKenzie has worn many hats over the course of his distinguished culinary career. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Kevin has trained under such world-renowned chefs as Johnathan Waxman. Kevin’s training in the culinary world has been as diverse as his life. He has worked in catering, owned his own successful restaurant in Seattle and even dabbled in some writing.
Kevin is a revolutionary in the slow food movement in Sonoma County and most recently was featured on Food Network’s popular show “Unwrapped.” Currently, he is the feature food writer for the Healdsburg Tribune, contributing a weekly column on the world of food, wine and lifestyle in Sonoma County.
Kevin’s work has been featured in such publications as the New York Times, Cooks Magazine, Gourmet Magazine, Food & Wine Magazine, and the Los Angeles Times.
